As on my other thread, I've broken up my old patio and sub-base which was made of a weak mix of all in one ballast and cement. The weak mix stuff breaks up pretty easy and the larger parts of it can be seen in the picture below.
I had to remove the old sub base as the level was too high and I am taking it down to meet another area that I have raised with type 1.
Am I ok to mash this up, add a little more cement and drop it back in as a thin sub base of 25->40mm before my 50mm of bedding layer?
