Pointing colour choice - buff slabs ??

Hi , i've orderd bradstone textured paving in the buff colour for a 3 size random pattern of 22sq mtrs.

can anyone advise on the best colour for pointing these slabs ?

what colour mix would i end up with if i used white cement with the sand ?

i've been using the info on this site to build my new raised patio , nearly at the good stuff now , slabs arriving today and just trying to plan ahead.

any help appreciated and thanks for all the info

Slabs arriving today, let the fun times begin.

As regards to pointing, times have changed and you dont need to bother with mixing coloured cements and sands anymore.

Gun injected mortar products are available in loads of colours and are easy to install

Check out the easipoint products, they will have a colour to suit your paving.

Maybe you could post a few shots of the stone as well

London is apsolutely right - dont use any cement coloring cemical or colored cement itself. It`s slightly cheper option maybe, but defenately not worth the hassel and worth the risk.
lads who got you slabs should have those new jointing materials, and for 22m2 it woun`t be costing you a horse

Nice one as luck would have it i bought one of those pointing guns last year for some work on my sons house , i'd better dig it out.

Not sure where i'll find the ready made pointing mixes in or around harrow , middx ? would a normal builders merchant carry it or is it special order item ?

any advice on the colour ? the slabs are buff , which is a creamy - yellow kind of colour , i thought a lighter shade might look better ?

Easipoint have got a sandstone coloured mortar which sounds like it would work quite well. Have PM'd you

london does indeed stock easipoint :;):
be warned natural colour dries very grey,for buff i would use what they call "sand stone" which is in fact quite a neutral colour
depending on joint width and depth 2 bags might do it but it would be tight ,
PS mortar dye is not a bit cheap any more ,I had to buy 3 kg from jewsons the other day £10 per kg and it took 1 kg per mix to get the right colour
we have some red sand turning up next week £120 per tonne + VAT :O

the house we are working on is a 1960-70s built house with red bricks and red mortar,and the client wants us to follow existing
we wanted a silo as there are over 10,000 bricks to lay (biiiiig extension) but the road is too narrow,so we looked at bags of pre mixed mortar but at £160 a tonne and with a negative review by our colleague cookie we opted for a pre mixed sand/red pigment /lime mix which we just add water and cement to
