If its any help, i put me and my digger out for £230+vat.
It does come with some attachments that you cannot hire elsewhere though.
£180 for just a digger is a little steep

we go roughly with tonnage for 1 man and machine, dumpers breakers augers post driver, rollers extra etc

1.5 - 3 ton £250
8 ton/3cx/telehander/4x4 tractor+trailer or attachments £450
13/16 ton £550 and delivery/removal
5 ton tracked dumper £100 a day
1/3/6 ton dumpers as per job
muck shifted for £8/ton

but like to go with 2 guys as get lot more done so adds £100 more to it but get lot more done and better do do full job than day rate

dont hire out machines no one treats them like you do,

local hire shop is about £150 a day for 2 tonner

Still....a 5 ton machine and a decent operator for £350/day is a gift IMO given the amount of work you'd get out of the combination and not to mention the haulage of said machine to and from site.......

yeah these lads with just a mini for 150 a day, compare that to 350 for a 5 ton and you'd get 10x the work done if the works there,

we did a job the other week were theyy'd had a guy in with a mini but ran out of dig depth had to get us in with a bigger machine to finish the job for them
