Just to alert those who may have missed it, there's a chance for one lucky bar steward to win up to 4m³ of quality ready-mix concrete from a national supplier.

Full details on the News Page

Open to contractors and DIYers.

Please have a go at entering - if this comp is a success, several other suppliers/manufacturers have expressed an interest in providing 'prizes' for future comps.

And for those who have been emailing/texting/phoning me - I have the heart surgery next Monday. I'm down for a 7:30am start, so let's hope the surgeon hasn't been on the razzle all weekend and turns up with the Monday Blues!

Ach not fair the so called national supplier only works within the borders of Englandshire. I'd have won it too I reckon.
Can't see it from my house

RE the concrete competition
i saw this but on the whole i need concrete when i need it, cant really pin it down to 4 weeks in the future unless it was a shed base or garden wall

As I am definetley a Midlander and I use concrete, can I have it please. I'm just about to order 4 cube, so it saves me the bother.
There, that's well short of 150 words, and elegantly put, I think you'll agree.

All the best Tony.

you could always get it delivered to a previous non paying customer, seeing as it hasn't cost you anything!!

Then when you have the 4m³ delivered you will be told by the driver that's your lot, if you require more you can pay him cash :p

Naaah! The *competition* is open for 4 weeks. You can have the concrete whenever you want after that.....assuming you win, of course!

Not sure we are the midlands up here....

On the subject of ordering it online handy for diyer etc but I order mine on the phone an hour before I need it for small pours and the day before on big pours from cemex etc. But can see the appeal to the unsure diyer

Loving the idea of competitions Can we have a jcb one hehehe

Can't promise owt from JCB but there is the possibility of future prizes from a well known vibrating plate compactor manufacturer and a certain cut-off saw manufacturer.

It all depends on how much interest we get in response to this first attempt. If I can show the potential sponsors that interest has been generated in respectable quantities, then it becomes easier to convince them to hand over the goodies.
