An 'A board' you mean? 16ft lenth of 2x1, 2 hinges few screws, small lenth of cheapy chain and a sheet of White corex board should be less than a 10 er from b&q and someone to sign write it for you , basic designed and vinyled about £25 if you supply the board .

This is one thing I need to do - we get many calls back to streets where the neighbours etc have seen us working and want us to price their driveways etc etc - think of the lost opportunities!

My dad manafactures food production machines up in Crewe. Most of the machines they make have to be made from stainless steel to comply with food hygiene standards. He has always got lots of stainless steel off cuts knocking around his factory, so we got him to make up a load of stainless steel A frames to put outside jobs. Big mistake!

Can anyone guess what happpened to them?

I've just had 4 corex board 686mm x 457mm signs made up for £16.99 + vat & delivery from Vistaprint. They call them Lawn Signs on their website. You can use their designs or you can create you own.

I use www.theSignbuilder.co.uk they do my A frames, Cheap correx boards which we fix to fencing jobs. 9'x3'Banners to advertise our nursery and the stickers for my Vans. Good company and you can do it all online on an evening so not cutting into the working day.

i bought 5 ally and 5 corex signs, think ally was 40 quid and corex 22. all the ally has been nicked but still have the corex. its a no brainer.

i have a theory that they are better for company promotion rather than actually getting leads. ie if your boards are seen a lot locally then you become a good company to deal with as you are clearly popular. if people clock your logo two or three times over a season then you get remembered.

I've just paid approx £15:00 + vat each for 6 boards, roughley 600x800mm corrugated vinyl boards, logo and details on. We put 1 on each job and leave it after we finish for a week or so, generates about 3 leads a month straight away, plus people see the link between our vehicles, the signs and clothing logos, it all adds up.
