Sandstone or slate? - Best type of stone for patio

Found a supplier on the web called "Manthorpe slate and stone" in Lincs Selling Welsh heather slate from £29 SqM have emailed them and I am waiting for a reply watch this space!Also Welshslate .com sell patio packs at £25 Sq M but they might only supply trade not plebs like me haven't spoken to them yet.

The Mrs has changed her mind!! Welsh slate is now out limestone is in!!I can't keep up!! Does anybody have any experience of kotah blue? is it any good seen some stone by strata has anybody any dealings with them looks OK to my untrained eye.Any help or suggestions welcome (getting rid of the wife is not an option!! lol).

£29 per m2 for Welsh slate sounds impossible to me.
Kota blue in my opinion is a fantastic stone. Of all the stuff we sell I would have to say kota blue is my personal favourite.
Its very durable, requires little maintenence, looks tremendous and is an absolutre bargain.
Cant go wrong with kota blue IMO
