Worked away from home Thusday & Friday last week over in Fareham, right next to the railway station, surfacing a new car park.
Spot the inebriated signwriter!
Anyway, some "nice sights" walking to and from the station at times, work had to stop to enjoy the view!
Had a great night out in the town on the Thursday night though, great lads from the other crew, don't get many chances to socialise so made pigs of ourselves, didn't feel like quite such a good idea the following morning, no time from breakfast, had dealt with 40ton of tar by 9am, shovelled 7 ton of it myself....wasn't good!

its total bollocks really ,i bet its the only house in that street with a soakaway out front
is that big dumper yours?
i love getting on the big ones
LLL
yep its our dumper, its only down the rd from the rugby pitch job where our 16 tonner excavator is so got the 30 tons stone dropped there and loaded them in and thought id have to barrow it in, but just mounded some spoil up rd the stump and then could tip the stone right where i needed saved a load of hassle.
its just across the rd form that other asphalt job we did, so that got a aco and drain. but all the other sloping drives got nothing, except sinking block paved drives haha.
you buy mot in 800kg bags? ouch. i had t get 4 tons asap for a job on the wagon yesterday £100 with the vat ouch when i can get 20 tons for £230 but next day, pains me to waste money grrr

Hey Giles on that domestic driveway you did looks fairly steep? Make sure the owners know to treat it gently for the first two summers....I've seen parked cars on steep driveways literally pull the surface course off in hot weather....and we are talking 10mm 50pen SMA
