I'm currently wearing to work Dickies Hemp work trousers, a soft shell work jacket and fleec top. Although this combo looks very fetching on me, I lost a marking crayon yesterday, and as a result of the search I found out I had a total of 18 Pockets of various shapes and sizes on my person. What's that about!!

in my opinion you can't have enough pockets. I work a lot in cramped conditions inside reinforced cages, sometimes sitting, sometimes kneeling, other times lying down. Trying to drag a tool box is a waste of time. Being able to have tape, spanners, drawings , markers etc; close to hand is a must. Like the dickies gear for that reason. Ordinary jeans pockets are'nt good enough.

Nothing to do with paving but I've been going fishing for the past 25 odd years and I only recently bought one of those fishing waistcoats. Its got that many pockets I am still discovering new ones. Its made the fishing a lot easier and more fun because all your stuff is close to hand. Just takes a while to remember where everything is

i hate pockets as they encourage me to carry way to much stuff around
pencil behind ear, phone in pocket, and tools in the bucket
all depends on what you are doing though really

Don't you find, with ordinary jeans, we seem to favour one pocket? With me most things get crammed into one, like mobile phone etc. When my loose change/key pocket sprang a leak it was aggro for ages, kept forgetting to get new ones ( hate throwing old ones away really ). Think multi pockets are brilliant and the waist band on them perfect. Also can get them with pockets for knee pads instead of cutting off the blood supply with strap type :;):
