I am planning on putting in a new gravel drive

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Ah so a Gloucestershire (South Cerney) flat buff stone will be ideal for your driveway. We did a 400m2+ one just before Xmas and the results were brilliant.

Will try and grab picture at weekend.

Just don't use anything soft like Cotswold chippings or that's rounded, or you'll have a job walking on it. Hard stones are best(Flints,Granites etc). Try Bartletts Aggregates

I have had a look at the bartlett site and there is nothing there that I like.

I had wanted to go for stafford pink but that is a round stone.
Is that so bad?

I don't want to pay more than £80 a bag.

I am going to phone my local supplier. They have a limited stock but are very cheap!

What size of gravel should I be looking at. People seem to vary on the size they recommend. I was thinking of 40mm but then some say 20 mm is too big. Some advice would be very much appreciated.

Also how deep? (does this depend on the size of the gravel in the first place)

I have compacted type 1 down for underneath the gravel
