personally i wouldnt do it in stages, we screed the full area and then lay the block but we are 3 men laying blocks and move pretty quick. (in the direction of the pub usually)

might even do the cuts on a good day,but normally cuts on the next day

45m2 2 good blokes should be able 2 screed complete area, lay, cut, wack, sand and still have an earlyish day.

Its interesting how others do the job - we tend to do the cuts as we progress along.....

When i come to pull my rails out, i pull them out, chuck couple of shovels of grit sand on where they have come out, then i get a tarmac wooden squeegy and it fits nicely on the two screeded sides and you just pull the sand back over your foot prints. What is good is it's on a long handle so no bending back down, works a treat.
