Hi,

What is the best way to clean black kotah limestone that has just been laid? Need to remove stubborn dirt and mortar marks/stains and I am concerned over using an acid based cleaner (per article on the website).

Thanks

Hi Mate, Don't, whatever you do, use anything Acid based, I had a client who kindly helped out one night after work, with a "Mortar" cleaner and spoiled nearly a whole Patio 35m2. It leaves a white stain that goes down layers into the structure of the Paving. Probably your best bet is to get hold of something like Lithofin or similar surface cleaner, most Floor tile outlets sell a version. Ask at the counter and tell them the Stone and they should be able to help. In future, just have a bucket of clean water and brush, and clean as you go.
