Good morning.

Fantastic website - which I've studied for months now.

I may be about to be awarded "the stupid question of the day" award but here goes anyway!

I want to have a driveway installed, but I also need a dropped kerb put in - which should be done first?

Thanks.
Stuart.

it doesn't matter really but it would be ideal if the same company could do them both at the same time. I personally would do the kerb first it would make access easier for materials.
Can't see it from my house

Thanks for the replies.

I've been told by one contractor to get the kerb done last, but then I've had 3 others tell me not to even bother getting it done as the kerb is so low anyway!

Thanks again.
Stu.

I would tend to do the kerbing works last, as the tarmac will then be nice and new etc

Doing it first you'd have to lay some protection boarding down on the new surfacing as any plant trafficking over it will mark a freshly laid surface.
