Just started a job at a hotel and all the footpaths are to be finished in breedon self binding gravel, been given a spec for the job which consists of 125mm compacted thickness of type 3 material and 50mm compacted thickness of breedon, it is going to be edged in plaspave sorrento which will sit 5-6mm proud to contain the gravel. The spec is to have the footpaths flat but i'm not sure how permeable breedon is and if I put a fall on it surely its going to sit against the blocks in heavy rainfall, anybody any experience with this?

its used a lot on statley homes etc as paths, seems fairly permeable but have seen it puddle. As its a tarmac product they will have a data sheet on it. im about to drive past the quarry it comes out of now on the way to get me lad from my folks farm out in the peak district.

I thought it was from up your way giles, I've seen other self binding gravels puddle after heavy rainfall and after been well compacted by foot traffic, I did find a spec sheet on the internet and it says to use type 1 and a fall of around 1:60 but the landscape architect who designed it has used it before so i'm guessing he knows his way works.
