Hi,

I have a question about covering over polypipe soakaway crates under a driveway. Can they be covered in hardcore then block paving, or do we need to say cover in a layer of concrete then the standatd block paving?

Whats to stop the plastic prefabricated blocks from sinking when under load?

Normally you'd lay them on geotextile on to good ground, wrap in geotextile then come up in layers compacting as you go, by hardcore do you mean full brick and concrete or graded dtp type1 40mm - dust as full brick may point load the crates. Buy the crates are design to be load bearing

if you use the blue crates normally a 100mm layer of 10 mm shingle will suffice before your type 1 subbase
