The Travis perkins in Winsford would be able to get them for you.

Last time I was down your way I was doing some work at the salt mine.

nice one guys, like the idea of a few slab suckers while i drink tea and do the directing. Not sure whats under the existing slabs until i lift them, my guess is not a lot!! I will give travis perkins a bell there only couple of miles from me.

There are another couple of issues as well. The existing patio area is on two levels, which i intend to keep, with an appx 4 inch gravel edge. two questions any advice as to what to have showing on the edge of the stepped area that looks nice on the eye.

secondly how to finish the gravel edge where it drops from the higher to lower levels. Probably easier to see in a pic, can you upload pics on here

I'd be interested to know the price TP would charge for a non account holder.
Our local TP would charge stupid money.

Im working in winsford at the minute, doing a job for conlons on a huge industrial estate,

I agree, if it where me id try a screed bed and probst stone magnet, we used one on the last job on a brand new kubota 5 tonner great set up. Probably best in your circumstances to use a two man hand held slab lifter device :)

the sukkers on wheels are good for that.. lay the first course{and screed off} and then wheel them in on top of your first course and lower gently butt jointed with a half or staggerd bond if different lenths
