Micro crushers from TCP like we run are exempt from the regs Giles as they are to small, go up a size in red rino or similar they come into regs.
As long as the crusher is on the truck no tacho needed, only if towed on a trailer. MSH

have you read the article in this months earthmovers it infers anything over 3.5 ton has to have a tacho with the expections of vehicles involved with utilities and vehicles being used to transport tools or materials to be used by the driver within 60km of the yard, as driving is not his primary task simply getting the stuff there. but delivering plant for hire would require one. its funny having a proper calibrated tacho and driving with other road users though, they think they are doing bang on 30mph when they are more likely doing 27/28mph etc

powers that be decided they couldnt afford my £7500 quote to kerb and base up 700m2 so they went for plainings and going to think about bitmac next year. told them it wont hold up to much power sterring abuse but what can you do, got the plaining for £3.5/ton of a neighbor.

why have the tops been mortared on? when i did a bit i was told under no circumstances was any mortar allowed or necessary when doing dry stone work

Got >£10k's worth of chains, conveyor flights & bearings to go in this Summer, going give her a bit of a birthday. Last job of 2010 was a car park with 50pen 10mm SMA, bloody awful stuff that just won't move, so gloopy it ripped two flights off the conveyors on the job!

Had that argument with him today, he's got a pair provided by us but he was only doing that bit as I was to fat to squeeze down the side lol.
