My dad a life long fan and remembers what bus he was on in gorton when he heard about the Munich air crash would say Was Duncan Edwards number 1

But for myself I'd go bobby, best, Edwards, cantona, schmeichel, giggs, schools, ronaldo, Robson, keen, Bruce and palister, beck ham, and special mention for ole gunner solskkear

Shearer the other day on 5 live said scholes was the best player he'd ever played with!

c'mon you green and yellow army I know you are out there
LLL :)
ps i saw cantona do things with a ball I have never seen before or since, iwasnt old enough to watch best edwards or charlton so its difficult to asses
schmeichel best keeper ever IMO
giggs scholes and neville very industrious but not true top class
have to say though that the reason Man utd win so many games is that their players play the whole match, they dont drop the tempo at any point
of i forgot a memorable mention for ruud van diverlot
is martin keown on his xmas card list?
Image
perhaps not methinks

Why Beckham all he could do was kick a ball with his right foot. If it wasn't for that foot which wasn't always on form he'd be playing sunday league. He couldn't tackle head or defend so all I can guess is that you like his hair.

its like saying all leonardo da vinci or van gogh could do was paint pablo, I bet they were both rubbish at cooking
beckham for all his faults was/is a great player

roberto carlos scored 1 amazing freekick then missed the next 20 :)
