We have been quoted £1300 for a 20 by 9 ft driveway. Is this the right sort of price to pay?

We have also considered doing it ourselves but are a bit worried about the amount of work involved...would it save us a lot? How do we work out how much gravel etc we would need?

Thanks

This depends on the ground work / preperation needed, the type of gravel and the specifics of each drive, but this price sounds reasonable to me in answer to the second question see above.

There's a full "How to..." for gravel driveway construction on the main website.
