Just quoting for a client to lay a 9'x13' concrete slab to site a Dog kennel with a wire dog run attached, quite an expensive looking one at that. The Site is in the bottom corner of their Garden, the ground slopes gradually back towards the house, and they obviously want to be able to wash the base off. My Problem is the Ground is very boggy and prone to flooding.
Pipework is out of the question due to the slope and as the Plot is surrrounded on all sides(their a corner plot, backing on to another street) I've nowhere to run off to.
I'm contemplating a soakaway chamber, but I'm worried the water tablemay cause the waste to rise and cause problems, any ideas anyone? ???
Drainage for dog kennel - Any clues

The client reckons her neighbour had 2 soakaways dug to help with the issue, but they went down 2 mts and their Garden is slightly higher, approx 12". I know what you mean though, I'm just thinking if I don't do something it's going to cause quite a bit of a stink come Summer. They say the ground is usually quite firm until after either really heavy rain or the snow we've just had, so maybe it's just compaction, it's an old 20'/30's House and the surrounding area was once woodland. It also sits in a slight valley. Gets worse don't it!!:D
Gi it sum ommer
