Does anybody know where I can get a cheap shipping container from. Seen a few on Ebay but nothing at the right price and right location. Would need to be in the south of England

I've used there people; they have yards all over the country so should be able to assist whereever you might need it delivered.

They won't in my experience be able to sort you out a 40' one at that price, but might be not far from that price on an old non-plated 20' one.
