Water pooling on conservatory floor

In August 2010, we finnished building a small conservatory.
Yesterday I recieved a call from the customer saying that small pools of water form on the consevatory floor close to the walls. These have only recently started since xmas.

All the correct procedures were carried out, i.e dpc in walls, dpc membrane under floor, (concrete floor) cavity walls.

I am going to look at the problem at the weekend to rule out any leaks, groung being reinstated to high to the dpc, etc.

The customer has a stone tiled floor, and she did mention that they had this laid about a week after the conservatory was water tight, which as we know is to soon.

The walls have been papered and no sign of damp there, no mildew on skirting either. The glass/frames dont condensate and theres no water based heating, so no leaks there.

So, why is this only now happening?

Could the concrete slab still be drying out, or moisture trapped beneath the tiles?

Condensation?

Anything else im missing?

is the 2 skin cavity wall built off the concrete foundation or was it build external brickwork then cast the concrete floor using the external brickwork as a shutter then build the internal wall off the concrete floor ?

both skins were built of the foundation.
Didnt cheat by building the inner leaf of the slab!!

could water be leaking through the roof or could it be down to condensation, if the conservatory has heating.

think of a car in winter with damp kit in the back.

Yeah, going to check for leaks at the weekend, thats my first port of call.

Failing that im thinking along the lines of condensation myself. Like you describe, conservatories are pretty much all glass, so winter = freezing, then heat that up with probably no ventilation and you get condensation!

Just thinking of all posibilities

were renovation cavity trays installed above the roof line?
with the recent driving rain we have had water could potentially penetrate the cavity
big problem with conservatories is no building regs
so difficult to assess
sounds like condensation
