been preping a car park for mot today scraping off the exisitng layer of plainings un earthed a cobble then another one then a few more so got out and saved them for the pile, then dug a bit deeper and hit a cobble mine. had 40 tons out already into the tractor and trailer and home, proper nice big cobbles from old road some huge ones like 400mmx400mm all with nice smooth face.
dad says he used to let his mate tip here in the 70's when he had the council rd contract so be the old roads dug up to make way for bitmac. nice when you get a result, had the riddle bucket on the 3cx making it easier to get them. given up now otherwise id keep going haha proper cobble fever kept spotting them everywhere, swapped them for some brick hard core lol
had to take out some monster stumps, well tress that had been filled rd, so root ball was 3 metres deep took an good 30 mins each stump
and would you believe it i turn my back for 2 seconds to make a brew this car pulls up and fire bombs the stack of stumps id pulled out and neatly stacked,

I hope you catch whoever did next time it could be something important, rather than just a load of what I am guessing were fairly slow burning (due to the wetness) tree stumps.
I guess you managed to keep at bay any urges to throw non combustible waste (such as say aerosols) on the fire and start attacking them with an axe.
what a cracking day you've had giles digging like billyhoe finding buried treasure and a full burn up at the end of the day! a couple of cold 1's job done!

I've stopped digging and made good, I'd hand dug and found the duct anyway. I put the duct and the base in for the tower, so had a good idea. Ripped through fibre optic before, sky's link from sale sharks old ground to satellite uplink, can't be repaired has to be relaid. Lucky for me was 30 metres from where they'd marked it on plans

They will tell you that Giles but I have done many a fibre splice. You just need the right kit. Probably the repair team just do a splice but charge you for a full run.
