Mrs Taz usually goes to the summer solstice hippy-fest at Stonehenge, but strangely, she's less inclined to go and dance around in wispy thin tie-dye tops and skirts in the middle of winter!
Today, the 16th of December 2010, is exactly 10 years since my last heart attack. Not many would have put money on me surviving a whole decade when they loaded me into that ambulance. Never smoked since, and changed my diet to cut out the huge quantities of red meat and dairy products I loved so much, but there's now 6 stone extra of me and I'm still crippled with angina.
Still, I'm here to tell the tale, so I can't really complain.

Blinkin' heck ,Tony.
Didn't have any idea :0 Bit of warfarin will keep you ticking past a ton
Its really a very important date as the Romans used it to impress Christianity on the Pagans (Solstice 21st -Crimbo 25th)
Wiki do a good write up on it....WIKI
Also, the best bit is more daylight! A day I always looked forward to on the building, nice pre-empt for Christmas day

i spoke to a heart specialist in italy 3 years ago and asked him how best to avoid a heart attack
he was Canadian and had seconded to the Glasgow royal infirmary for 18 months, previously
his reply was "don't do what Scottish people do"
as said smoking, red meat, dairy produce
he seemed to think that alcohol in moderation wasnt as bad as the others ,but he did say if it was discovered today it would be a class A drug
stress also plays a big part in heart attacks,2 lads i know who kopped it were both a lot fitter than me, but very highly strung in high pressure jobs
here to the next ten gaffer

if you check this
you will see that we have already had the latest sunset, but the sun continues to rise later and later all the way till january the first
its strange but the shortest day is neither the earliest sunset or the latest sunrise!
