I'm trying to help out a manufacturer of "alternative" edgings in assessing the economic viability of their products compared to more traditional edgings. However, a big part of the problem is the HUGE variation is labour rates the length and breadth of the country.
So: can anyone from anywhere in the country help by giving me a typical supply and fix rate for the following in their own locality:?
Timber 4 x 1 (100 x 25mm?) and 6 x 1 (147 x 25mm)
Assume 50x50x450 stakes at 1m centres
Concrete kerbs 6" x 2" (150x50mm FT edgings on 100mm concrete bed and haunch)
Brick edging (4? haunched)
(200x100x50mm CBP laid 100mm wide on 100mm concrete bed and haunch)
The idealised project is to be a 400m running track, so 2 x 100m straights and 2 x 100m curves. Apparently, we're only looking at the inside edge.
PM or email me if you don't want to publicise any costings and, as ever, total confidentiality is assured.
