stopped for a quick pint after work yesterday at our local
there must have been 100 lads in there most of them off the M1 10-14 works all sent home as too cold to pour concrete
it turned into one of those sessions, the laughter and banter was fierce,we had Irish, scousers (red and blue varieties) northern irish, scots, geordies the whole shebang
I knew it was time to go when my hoddy collapsed and broke a chair,he got up like mike tyson has hit him, and did a jig before falling into the bar
i woke up at 6.30 AM at my outlaws house fully clothed in the spare bed, i must have drank a cup of battery acid before i fell asleep, at least thats how i feel.
and i am ok for parking this week as i managed to convert 80 quid into a pile of shrapnel looks like about £11.38
best laughs in a long time though
how was your friday?
LLL :)

Mrs Taz got sent home from work to prevent her infecting all their customers with the bird flu to, so I had to endure her whingeing and moaning and croakily asking for cups of Lemsip all day. Apparently, the hacking cough and gobbets of black phlegm are not in any way connected to all the fags that she smokes only because they soothe her throat.

A miraculous recovery this morning, and it's purely coincidence that tonight is her work's xmas do, so it would be difficult to explain turning up at that cacklefest if she hadn't been in with all the other girls today.

Always found planned do`s a bit of a let down, christmas do`s, stag weekends etc....its the unplanned carnage that you always remember, walking into a situation with time on your hands and a pocket full of dosh.

Far too infrequent these days :(

Nearly time for a livener Tone :;):

At 11 last night, i was on my knees in a blizzard underneath the gritter,

The salt granules, and stone mix just compacted, and blocked solid. Had to claw away at it bit by bit, until the whole 2 ton of Salt was in foot high piles on one of the main car parks.

Was using the call-out phone with it's torch as a torch, but must have knocked it off, so spent 20 minutes rifling through the pile, but no worse for wear.

Chucked some of the proper grit in, and got the job done in less than an hour.

Got sent home 12.00 Thursday. 5.45am Friday in car outside digs, battery fooked. Hours walk to T2 Heathrow, sent home at 9.00. Got bus back to car, 20 minutes on phone to RAC. 3 hours later they turn up.... £90 quid for new battery. So early shoot turned into a drag. dropped the lad and his wife into town and got call in the early hours to 'pick us up please to cold to wait for taxi.' so off i go -10 just my shorts and top..brrrr!! this morning went to get up and back gone, think it's the sitting around in the canteen doing nothing for 2 days. The days of going into the pubs and getting pissed are well behind me, i used to love that unexpected crack. Sometimes go with the lads and have a coke but it ain't the same , on edge waiting for the row. well done LLL for keeping the dream alive

i can remember *hatty* buying a bottle of whisky from the off licence and going round giving out nips to all and sundry
very few and far between these days to get it going like that

I know it shouldn`t be funny but that made me laugh out loud.

Hell of a time of year to try and keep someone out the boozer, hope it works out for them (and him) :)
