Linear metres per m2 - Instamac calculator

Hi all
Anyone know of a quick calculation to work out the linear metres for a random pattern of paving. I intend to use global stone's project packs which are 13.65m2 and of 4 sizes - 285x285,285x570, 570x570 & 855x570. Once laid I'll gun point. Instamac have a calculator for linear metres but is there a short cut?

I have a 'calculator' (based on a spreadsheet) which calculates the total joint metreage for any given project, and/or the average metreage per square metre of paving, but it is used as part of my random layout design service, so I don't publish it.

It determines total joint length, then calculates the required quantity of jointing material based on joint width, joint depth and just what sort of jointing material is being used. It produces an answer as so many pail of a polymeric mortar, or so many bags of sand and cement, or so many packs of such-and-such a proprietary product, based on the information provided.

It's a fantastically useful little tool, but far too commercially valuable for me to give it away.

Tony McC - Makes sense not to give it away. Ever thought of intelectually copywrighting it then selling it as software in app. or desktop form?
For the small amount of paving we do I'll go by LLL's guide.

Is the instarmac cempoint good & what does it cost for, say 3 20kg bags?

It has been enquired about and subsequently offered to several jointing materials companies, but none of them want to pay sensible money. 100 quid might be a lot of money to them, but I know it's worth far more than that.

It has crossed my mind. The costing sheet calculators for patio flags and block paving are still being downloaded at a rate of over 50 per month, so there *is* interest, so I might do summat about it - maybe create a bundle with a few of my other unpublished calculators/spreadsheets.
