morning all. 1st post from new member. Im a fly by diy guy and am laying a patio of raj green indian sandstone and i have 3 questions. (1) Can i bed these flags onto a fairly dry 8: 1 mix of portland cement/ builders sand? (2) when jointing these 25mm flags, is it possible to use a dry 3:1 sand/cement mix for half the depth of the joint, topped off with a coloured polymer? Its a cost saving exercise and I realise its 2 jobs instead of 1. But i have more time on my hands than money. Is it worth the trouble? And finally (3) i have built a block wall on two sides of my patio and have base slabs between H posts on the other sides. Any advice on drainage and the falls needed? appreciate any and all advice.
