All explained here:-

These are sandstone pavers designed to lay the same as concrete pavers - interlocking. NO pointed joint.

My brother laid this one (one of the first to be laid in the UK)

Made a big impact on the market about 4 / 5 years ago and is still sold and developing through a network of suppliers and stockists, including ourselves. Not cheap but not everybody wants cheap.

Dan
yes the pavours i used can also be laid as cbp but i layed these so they were diffrent and no chance of weeds or movment as there was clay under subbase :;): plus i dont like laying block paving more money in the wet stuff :D nice job cookie

In terms of weathering... its a bit like the situation with the Indian Flags.. some colours weather better than others depending on pourosity etc.

The job with the images was power washed last year (the job was laid arounf 4-5 years ago) and it came up like new (rotary power washer)

These blocks are Indian.

There is also a lot of sandstone block paving being produced in China - these are generally darker colours.. and weather well

Price is approx £35-£40 plus vat per m2 (approx) but haulage and current freight are always a factor as to where it is currently..

Contractors tend to find that once they have laid one or two...the enquiries start coming in
