hi all

I'm going to concrete part of the drive ( can't afford to do it all ) about 18m2 at 110cm deep ish with a good sub base. Just two questions i only need about 2m3 of concrete is this too much to mix in a hired cement mixer or should i just get some ready mix delivered and will i need reinforcement or can i buy the stuff to mix in the concrete instead.

cheers paul

Get it delivered by one of the volumetric lads, barrow mix type as most rmc companies will charge for the small delivery. You won't mixing it yourself get as good a mix as them and you'll have different curing times.

You need sheets of a142 reinforcing mesh laid min 50 mm deep from the bottom of the slab, and overlap the sheets 2 full squares

See the main page on mass pour concrete before you begin
