Went for 2 weeks in May this year, its OK but i wont be rushing back.

On the plus side you are not falling over english and irish pubs so you actually feel like you are abroad.

They all want the Euro off you (i went there because its outside the Euro) and then they give you turkish lira in the change, very confusing for a drunken drainman.

Off to the Algarve in four weeks, Happy Days

tony, i`d recommend turkey for a holiday. we always go 5 star all inclusive (real terms good 3-4 star), always sunny and about £2.50 a drink if you go out for a beer. the Turks are friendly and you dont get hassled everywhere you go. this was our 4th time in 2yrs there. :D

like i say rab went there years ago and wasnt impressed at the time, constantly getting into rows with shopkeepers trying to drag us into shops, very german orientated at the time
and the heat!!
you could fry an egg on my sunburn
i asked for the aircon to be switched on in the hotel, and the guy just said NO!
that was marmaris, where do you go?
also got a mate trying to flog 8 unfinished villas if anyone is interested,he built the shells roofs windows etc
then the builder tried to double the price for the finishing, marble work throughout etc

dont go to marmaris, that's for the 18yr olds. try gumbet/bodrum and oul le denize (Antalya). there all nice resorts, marmaris only seems to put people off.

in gumbet your only £1 from bodrum and the bars etc. the shop keepers are not allowed to hassle you (police shut their shop for 2wks if you complain).

tony for £800 for a week, we had a great time. 10 days was only another £60. went to spain last year as well. never again, all i`ll say is that dick turpin wore a mask. ??? :D
