Wet or dry

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

going to give easypoint jointing compound a try and have been advised to wet the edges of all the natural stone before i point them. i always thought it was better to have the flags dry before you point to stop any smudging onto the flags but i normally use sand and cement so that might be different. i normaly soak the paving the night before we are going to point up just so the flags arnt hungry and absorb the moisture straight out of the mortar. anybody use the easypoint mortar and if so, do you wet the flags just before pointing?.

i use 1 of those cheap plant misters that you can buy for a quid or 2
wetting is important for adhesion
