Hi
I have just finished laying approx 90 450 x 450 textured pavers, they are laid on a mot1 sub base approx 150mm (compacted with a plate) then approx 50mm of bedding material (grit sand and cement). Each paver is completely supported by the bedding mix (no spot and dab). These have been down now for about 3 months and while laying them I took care to make sure they did not rock. But I have now found 3 which have a very minor rock to them, is this usual?
My question is... Although the rock is very minor, do I have to just accept that eventually some of the pavers will have a slight movement due to things like expansion (our garden is south facing, so lots of sun) and that they will not remain 100% bonded to the bedding mix below. It will be a pain to rebed them!!!
Please advise.
Cheers Phill

It's not unusual to get the occassional rocker. If it annoys you enough to fix it then lift them and apply a slurry of cement and water to the bedding in the same way you would if you were laying a tile. Put the flag back downand tap gently to form a bond and it'll never move.
Can't see it from my house

I've got a bit paranoid about my diy patio. Mine is also south facing and gets remarkably hot on a hot day.
Every so often I'm convinced I can feel a slight movement but when I try to reproduce it I can't.
Missus says I'm imagining things then a week later says she may have noticed something.
Perhaps she's just winding me up
Phill I take it you didn't lay the grit sand/cement mix dry?
