Hi,
Anyone in the paisley/glasgow area know of a decent supplier of loose grit sand? Local merchants have stopped selling loose sand and I'm getting quoted £32 to £36 per ton.

Whindust etc would be okay as its for laying monoblock.

Getting about 15ton. Think I paid around £15/Ton a few months ago.

-Thanks.

we get some of our bulk loads through our local large travis depot, direct loads and good rates if you have a special customer arrangement with them

again most the cost is haulage, nearer the quarry cheaper the stone

corse sand, dust, grit sand etc is about £10 a ton in 20 ton loads to us, but again we are no more than a few miles from a quarry

Thanks. All the local ones have stopped selling loose sand- bags only (at £32 to £36 each). To rub salt in the wound, they arent even a ton/bag. Usually around 800kg.

I can still get buildiing sand for £15/ton. Maybe I should build some walls instead :-)

No way I'm paying thiose prices- I'l figure something out.

Wonder if the kids would like a midnight visit to the beach ;-)

Cheers guys.

-Michael.
