I wanted to get abit of a guide to the comparitive prices for laying reclaimed yorkstone, granite cobble (new & reclaimed), indian sandstone and blue bricks. I don't know whether rough m2 values exist and I know there will be lots of variables but just trying to get and idea, including any big cost differences for the sub base/groundwork.
Definitely pretty clueless so any advice would be great!

the prices might be out compared to today but it will give you an inclination to the difference.
everything else is covered in detail

most ground work costs are the same
obviously labour costs depend on access to site ,quality of materials etc etc
roughly,labour only
reclaimed slabs £25-30 per metre
new slabs £15-20 per metre
block paving £10-15 per metre
these are rough guides to laying the top layer only assuming that all the subbase and edgings are in situ and all materials are on site
you would expect a contractor to have all the tools he/she needs to lay these surfaces
setts,tarmac are other people's speciality
