i did all the pads, piers, steels, blockwork, wallplates, removed all the old tiles and battens, sorted them and redid all the battening (2000m of batten with fischer hammerfixings every 600mm) and did a fair bit of the vertical tiling
it was a fun job (summat different to normal) especially as its only 100m from my front door!!
anyway on to portugal
local version of cookie ===> not!!
this was in the middle of a busy main street!

when i had a look at lunch the were no photos to comment on.
excuse my building ignorance, as i have seen this couple of times and never seen the reason why, but the extension isn't level with the front of the house?
the planners like to make the extension look subservient to the house, also if you go straight across on a house that size it gets very monolithic
i thought mick might have picked up the lack of building paper behind the battens, but the local BCO told us not to use it
the brackets for the downpipes were my pet,
i hate seeing tile hanging with screws drilled in to it so came up with that detail, there are 7 downpipes so it was time consuming and the roof tiler thought it was hilarious but when it was all tiled it looks right
cheers LLL
