Reclaimed slabs? - Are these any good?

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi there,

I planning on laying a patio in my back garden but money is tight...

Ill need about 20 3x2's for it and a pallet of these costs £120 from a local building merchant.

I can get 20 reclaimed slabs however from local reclamation yard for £65 (£3.25 each). Id need to pay for both to be delivered too.

Is it a good idea to use reclaimed slabs, like does it make much of a difference?

I am on a tight budget but I also don't want it to be rubbish!

Thanks for any help!

Pete

Reclaimed are ideal when on a tight budget. Check them to make sure they are'nt to badly damaged, or cracked. Also check your local ad paper, sometimes people give them away free.
