Hi Guys
The old downpipe connection to my soak away was a 90 deg bend and pipework that was laid higher than the level of the patio and then covered in lovely rough concrete.
I bashed all the concrete off and have dug the existing pipework out and I'm now left with this:
The bit in the red circle is my temp poo pipe arrangement to take any water away from the trench if it rains The blue circle is a towel shoved in the end of the pipe leading to the soakaway and the yellow circle is the area of the soakaway.
This is shown from the other angle below:
The tile in the bottom is the top of the broken up rubble and stuff that makes up the soak away and is where the pipe stuffed with a towel ends. All the water drains away no probs it just looked rubbish before.
I'm going to dig the rest of the pipe out to the top of the soakaway but I'm a bit lost as to what fittings exactly I need?
Would it be something like:

Or is it worth installing rodding and access points while I have it all in bits?
Presumably its better to lay the pipework in pea shingle than straight onto the stoney ground as it was before?
Down pipe to soak away connection...
