Higuys, just been to jewsons and they have an offer of £8 square metre of 50mm block, various colours. the guy behind the counter says that 50mm block will be ok for a drive and take cars "all day".

are these 50's ok to use or should i stick to 60's?

Whats the build up difference for 50mm blocks? john.

50ml are fine for light vehicle use. Build up is the same, ie 25/40 ml bedding and 100ml minimum sub base.

so you should have no problems if your sub-base has been laid and compacted correctly

i would check the price with other bm because you can buy 50mm block paviors for slighty less than 8 pound any time of the year. eg. travis perkins or joseph parr.

Travis Perkins sell Dalestone and Marshalls CBP (concrete block paving) cheap, if you want Marshalls Driveline 50 then they don't sell that at a discounted price

there is massive difference on colour between Dalestone, CBP and the Marshalls Driveline 50
