Would've thought this was a good time of the year to sell a wacker.

Have you tried Gumtree?

Or Sunday it's a free listing day on Ebay.

You could start the bidding at £200 and if no one buys it wouldn't have cost you anything.
Still have to pay sellers fees and possibly Paypal fees though.
BUT you can get good prices.

Advertise it on ebay, secure a sale off ebay via phone (make sure you include a mobile number) and then end the auction early.

Free sale, free advertising. Sorted.

another trick with ebay, is to start it off at 1p and get a mate to bid the £200 you want. That way, they only charge you a percentage of the 1p (which of course they can't!)
It's called shield bidding, and ebay hate it, but there is nothing they can do to stop it :D
Myself and mr lout have done it between us a few times and it works well.

That ok till you get pulled by ebay for doing it,shill bidding has to be prety sneeky to work.
if you what £200 for the plate set a reserve with buy it now at same price,£200 is to big a starting bid as there are loads off plates on ebay, most people go for cheapness on ebay
i have just over 3000 feedback

its impossible for them to prove, unless your mate logs onto the same computer to do the bid!

its when the same 2 clowns keep doing it on each others accounts that it goes wrong
sometimes its juts to get the ball rolling
i had a mate with 36 watchers for a trike,so i wacked a bid in for a grand and then the bids came rolling in
i would have had it for a grand but he got 3 and a half in the end
but it just overcomes some inertia
IME ebay is good for buying and shite for selling
