I have just laid about 80 sq yds of welsh pennant in a house i am restoring and very nice it looks too. I need some advice on what products would be most suitable for firstly cleaning them and secondly sealing them with something that brings out the colour but does not make them look too "shiny"
Any thoughts?

Standard apology - been off for a few days due to angina. Sorry for delayed responses.
For cleaning, I'd normally go with the Lithofin Limex, which usually brings up stone flags a treat. HOWEVER, you have to be extra careful with the Pennant flags as they are, IIRC, limestone and they may react in an odd way - test a very discreet area or an old off-cut first.
Also, for other readers, using Limex or any other acid-based cleaner with any of the Indian sandstones is not a good idea - it can bring out rusty splotches on the surface - you;ve been warned!
As for sealing, I've still not seen a stone selant better than RR Stone which comes in a range of finishes to suit individual tastes. The Lithofin Slate Seal is also very, very good if you don't mind a slightly darker finish.
