Hi

This website recommends using splitt for loose jointing of my pavers ( some brick some yorkshire stone effect flags of various sizes). This idea appeals to me but my builders yard does not recognize the term and recommends pointing the joints, saying that otherwise the compressed gritsand substrate will be eroded and the patio will move. I live in Manchester, is there another term for splitt which they will recognize?

Thank you

Chris

Can't say i recognise the term 'splitt' either. Maybe it refers to the bond and gap, rather than the jointing material used. I am sure the boss can enlighten us. Maybe it is a colloquial term ???

are we talking about actual block paving laid on sand? in which case use kiln dried sand, or is it all laid on concrete in which case www.nccstreetscape.co.uk
