I've seen Sika Pave Fix Plus in the local Travis Perkins.It's a joint fill compound like Romex/Rompox.

Anybody used it ?

I had bad reports from another builder about it so i wont touch it
I know sika do some strong glues etc but i heard the jointing compound was akin to Geo-sh*t.

It was £15.95+vat. decent tub as well,i think the tub said 11 litres.

sounds too cheap to be any good ,if you get my drift
if you use it let us know the results,but after my own experiences with geofix i wont risk any new paving products

Sikka pave joint is excellent, we have been using it for a year or so now, it seems to work outside its recommended boundarys, ( of cold & wet, we have proof!! ) it produces a a nice finish if you take time to strike it off ( it should be compacted in the joint ). IT IS DEFINATELY NOT like geofix

geofix was great for awhile
till the calls started coming
there are pro products out there so why settle for less?

Lutonlagerlout : Its not about settling for less.Romex/Rompox is so bloody expensive to buy. Until "trials" of sika pave by the paving industry comes up ok or negative then i will continue to use Sika pave.
Personally, i find its a good product,its locally available and not at all expensive.

hey i have never used it,but geofix cost me 5 patios to rake out and repoint,plus it made me look like a clown
the thing that got me with geofix is that when we had the reps out from degussa they blamed everything bar their product
trees,north facing garden,not enough fall on patio ,joints not deep enough etc etc
romex i put in 4 years ago is still there now,solid
I have used other sika products and they do make good adhesives but i have heard bad reports from other lads on sikapave so wont chance it

Ive used quite a lot of Sika Pave and have not had any trouble with it, btw whats the problem caused by the Geofix

Geofix simply isn't strong enough once cured meaning it breaks out easily and also gets damaged by high heals/ frost and the like. Sika fix is pretty much the same kind of quality and price hence it normally acts in the same way. I would bet that if you went and scutinised some of your older pointing you may change your mind just because you aven't had a call back doesn't mean it's ok. I've made a point previously about pushing these resin mortars into the joint and striking them it does make for a much better job but why spend so much money when cement mortar will take the same amount of time cost much less last longer and clean easier and look just as good.
