Base for granite flags

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi
I have found several companies selling granite flags but they are 20mm thick which seems more like a tile. What base should i lay them on? for your reference the area will be 36m2

any tips on what to look out for when buying granite flags?
