shipping to UK would be the hard bit, i buy stuff from USA through a friend or 2 i have so they mark the customs form to a lesser value so it stays in the limits

most big companys only what to ship to the lower 48 states, due to couriers and delivery,

might be worth a try to contact them and ask the question

i have a big concrete rake we use for the same thing, the string holder seems a little OTT to me,i just mark the height on the pin
as mark says customs can be a pain from the USA ,a lot of companies i have contacted wont ship outside the usa

Perhaps I'm missing something but isn't that stringalong just a collar and a thumbscrew and a lot of fuss about nothing?

yeah it is Bob, the video relating to the use of them is making a lot of fuss about nothing when all you need to do is learn how to pull a string line tight, wrap it round a steel road pin and pull a loop through the line to hold it in place

get some masking tape or insulation tape and wrap a piece under the line as a marker in case the line has to be removed

I have just done that over my allotment sunday planting swedes, parsnips, and carrots
2 450mm lengths of rebar hammered in 350mm then string half-hitched and tightened over the 2 bars
this string is then left till the plants show therefore eliminating the very normal practise (for me anyway) of weeding your vegtables
