Just an update.............I a few weeks ago i went to point the flags 1/3 dry mix brushed it all into the gaps on the buff patio area but made the buff flags look grey and i mean grey cement looking.
After doing all the patio area i though a very light mist of water over the flags should suffice ( How wrong i was ) it turned the nice buff flags a dark concrete colour like the cement had got into the flags with them being like a rough pitted flag and it looked absoulutly terrible i was near in tears.
I had to think quick what should i do and i come to the only conclusion i could think of as the cement seamed to be staining the buff flags so i jet washed the whole area which took ages and all the old cement and silicon sand went into the entry.
I am now back to square one never again am i going to use a dry mix but what i will say is because i jetwashed the whole area clean some of the wet wet mix must have made it under the flags and all the flags are now solid again but i am scared now to re try and i may end up doing it the old fasion way wet mix and a pointer -yes it will take some time and effort but i don't want to fook it up again.

Just wondering whether you've inadvertently carried out mickg suggestion on his post 20 Feb. 2010,08:01n0chex wrote:............because i jetwashed the whole area clean some of the wet wet mix must have made it under the flags and all the flags are now solid again...................
