Take up & re lay or bin the lot for new??? - Re laying existing paving blocks

I've recently been asked to quote for taking up a large area of brick paved pathways (around 450 sq m), and re lay the original bricks back down after sorting out the endless dips in the base!
They've been down for around 15 years, and suffered from various vehicles pulling up onto the walkways that were designed for pedestrian traffic only, hence the rutts all over the place.
My dilema is... how much would be a fair price for this?, by the time the originals get taken up, cleaned etc, would it be more economical to scrap the lot and lay new?
Other than repairing the driveway spots here and there, i've never been asked to take up as much as this before, so anyone who has, i'd welcome their advice, including any problems that i'm likely to come across.

Geez you got a job there. Prices will vary up and down the country. You need to sort part of your dilema out with the customer. It's down to them if they want it renewed or relayed. Have you spoke to them about the state of the bricks etc.

work it out in m2 if you think of it as a new job ie take up 50m2 at a time clean redo levels and whack then relay ask if you can do this as a trial on a good daywork price labour only you need to check that the subase is able to take cars and trucks then as you get more competent you can take up larger areas then give a price. but if you don't take the p;;s on day-work and give them a timescale after first 50m2 am sure this would work and the more you do the faster you will be good luck :;): ???
