Hi guys,
Apologies in advance with the topic title - Im new to the forum and looking at previous posts can sympathise when people get tired of this subject.
I wonder if you could help/advise me though?
I live in a 3 bed semi with a shared soakaway. The soakaway happens to be loacted in my front garden (typical). My neighbour has complained about his garden flooding because he thinks the soakaway is blocked. Last year I cleared the pipe with drainrods and a hose pipe and got all sorts of crud out but this hasnt seemed to work.
Yesterday I actually attemped to dig down to the other end of the soakaway to see if the soakaway end of the pipe had anything obvious blcking it. At about 3 and a half feet I seemed to hit the water table and made it impossible to find the damned pipe! As far as I could tell there is no blockage in the piping as I am pulling out sand/ballast evidence from the drain rod.
I was wondering if anybody could advise me on possible reasons/solutions to the problem.
If an expert is needed who should I contact?
Is it a case for a bigger/better soakaway?
Sorry for all the questions guys.

I'm suprised to hear you are hitting the water table at 3 & half feet. Where abouts in the country are you. It sounds like you have a failed soakaway or its come to the end of life if you are pulling silt etc. Try and get a picture up if you can so we can see the situation
