I am considering have a patio or decking fitted to the rear of my house.

The area in question is 6m wide by 2 1/2 m long. I have had a qoute to fit these for me at just about £2500. If it helps to know, the area is resonablely level with access to a skip with 10 metres from the work area.

The slabs themselves at costing around the £10/m. and are 400x400mm

What I am wondering is:
a: is that about right costing or am i over paying?
b: would I save much digging it out myself?

Any other details you need let me know.... :-)

(sorry if this the wrong section, i just went for slab)

not really no .not many of us who type on here have a seal of approval .we have what matters the most, years of experience.ring a few people out of your local paper .ask to see their work .look out for work being done as you drive around .i think you would get a decent job done especially in the climate we are in for between 1000 and 1500
