i think giles said they were concrete bricks,i know the old man loves council slabs broke up,50mm thick so gets the steel in the centre,AFAIK no merchant sells the proper spacers round this way

slabs are ideal to get t he cover ,and dont need tying to the steel to hold up.......lol,
im pricing a house footings right now there is 116 pages off spec and waffle before i get to the work to be done, there so much if's and but's on the drawings looks like it will be a shit job if i win the groundwork MSH :(

LLL you need a shuttering accesory specialist like buildspan.
I see you dont hang kickers giles,? Have you used the
adjustable steel kickers? They save a lot of drilling ,or,
shimming.

i had same argument with the builder on this (my dad) that i didn't want to use dense concrete commons, use slabs then chairs but wouldn't have it. structural engineer and build inspector passed it before pour. 300mm thick slab so they where ok for the mesh in the bottom of the slab. although pumped concrete can wash them out.

the walls are coming up in 20 newton dense block with a 100mm cavity with mesh then concrete, no kickers on drawing.

Hi GB where does the concrete pump come from ? as reilly have a huge pump working in kings lynn 2 axels front and 3 rear,been hear off and on 3 months now on the £400 million paper mill ,im trying to figure how to post a pic off it MSH :)

yes they did, and cleaned the excess up and straightened a few of the ridge lines, i have a photo somewhere

the offending ridge was at the back, be better once renderers have done and scaffold can be taken down then going to jump on landscaping and paving.

had some quotes for resin bound drive, got 5 sample pieces dont like any of them look like rise crispy cakes.

so now thinking block, gravel in reinforced cells as we have protected tress everywhere or i'm talking up 4 inch sets.
