Can the brown underground pipe be used internally

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Hi, Is there a difference between the brown 110mm underground soil pipe & the grey above ground pipe. The only reason i ask, is all the new pipe we will be fitting is going into 2 bathrooms & a kitchen is all behind box work with back to wall loo's, so we wont see it.
Or is it something more than just colour, as the brown is a lot cheaper.

Thanks

Chris.

Above ground pipework Black/Grey is treated to withstand UV light, the underground stuff is not.

So technically if its boxed in you should be OK unless a superior product like a solvent weld system has been specified due to site specific reasons such as excessive heat or pipe work to be suspended by brackets etc.....

as long as your brown soil waste pipe is not subject to sun light (uv) then yes. as you will be boxing it in this should be ok

Flow,

You ever used that welded rainwater system pipework, normally used for high flow systems.

We come accross all sorts usually due to chemical processes and pressurized systems, worked on quite a few swimming pool jobs with welded plastic pipework and heavy duty plastic systems like vulcathene for labs and hospitals

Ah! Thanks guys, wasn't sure if there was something more than this or pipe thickness problems.

I can't see any problem with this but thought I'd ask.
Is it ok to bury black or grey soil pipe?
If you run out of brown pipe and finish the job with 0.5m of black or grey soil would it matter?
No building inspectors are involved.

do you mean hpde? Got about a mile of it to do, 100ml, 150, 225. good stuff if it's kept level after unloading, once it's twisted it's a bugger laying it straight and level.
